Aladdin

Aladdin was dumped outside our hospital a few weeks ago with one of the worst tick infestations we have seen in a long time! We have put up CCTV at the request of the local police to catch the naughty owners that do this. It is illegal to dump your animals in Sri Lanka but it didn’t deter this owner who went to great lengths to ensure he wasn’t caught. It’s a bit infuriating as all they needed to do was to ring the bell to receive treatment but hey ho!

Aladdin was COVERED in ticks, the poor boy. As a result had (not surprisingly!) he contracted Babesiosis (tick fever). After spending a good few hours picking off all the ticks whilst he patiently waited (and stuffed his face with treats!), we started treatment for tick fever and, within 2 weeks, he was a totally new dog!

Aladdin is one of the most calm and caring dogs we have in the hospital and is now homeless at only 8 months of age, which is such a shame as he is the perfect pet! If you have space for a beautiful boy in your heart then PLEASE get in touch, he deserves such a better life than the one he has already had.
